Software Tools

Why?

I build tools to help me work more efficiently. Whether it's needing to regularly convert image files, manage what apps I have running, know the time, or to help me play a game, I've got tools galore. Feel free to download them, as they're freely available on my GitHub. Always willing to accept pull requests, too, if you would like to contribute.

What?

Just to name a few:

  • Bar JS - A simplistic bar chart library for use in HTML and JS. The library is lightweight and doesn't require any dependencies. Just include the 'min.js' file, add a div for the chart, and create your instance in the JS, and you're good to go.
  • FileFilterX - This is more of a C# coding tool, which provides an easy way to build a file selection filter for the Win32.OpenFileDialog/SaveFileDialog libraries. I use it a lot in various projects. Am considering wrapping it into a larger library at some stage, to help with the Win32 File Select libraries.
  • Floating Clock - Originally created so that I had an easy to see, large, digital, time display on my PC. It then evolved to help me manage my time during the day. It's features include being able to set three different sizes (S, M, L), set an alarm to chime at a certain time (using either how far in the future, or the time to chime itself), and a log out timer (set an alarm which will log the current user out after 'x' amount of time).
  • G Portal Dashboard - A dialog window which monitors the status of any given G Portal Server. Just provide the Query Code for a server, and click set. The tool refreshes every 30 seconds (and has a manual refresh button). It provides the online status, name, IP Address, Port, Key, number of players, and game address, of a server.
  • Png2Ico - a tool for converting '.png' image files to '.ico' icon files. Features the ability to drop images onto the app, or manually select them via a file select. You can then also select what size you'd like the icon file.
  • Stardew Helper - This was inspired by the game Stardew Valley. Like many others, I got right into this game. Trouble is, within it you need to manage relationships with the many other villagers within the town. They require certain gifts, or to speak to them on their birthday. This tool is largely a webscrapper, and just reaches out to the website where all this info is available, then returns it in an easy to digest format. You can quickly swap between villagers, and find your info. It has a lot of potential for extra features.

Where?

They're all completely available on my GitHub page.
